Zoe Alexander was a great personal friend and co-worker of mine. I've known her for a while, but
not long enough, she was taken way too soon. It saddens me to announce that Zoe Alexander was killed in a car crash
on October 4, 2007, near Austin, Texas.
Zoe played at the 2007 Great Texas Songwriter's Festival as
well as performing at the Texas Renaisance Festival. She was a very unique woman and an extremely talented
and gifted songwriter, author and actress.
On many occasions Zoe would tell the story of how much she enjoyed
the Great Texas Songwriter's Festival, the other musicians she met and the contacts she made. She was looking
forward to performing again this year. For a matter of fact, as soon as she returned home from Palacios, she sent me
her registration for the 2008 even though the date had not been set.
We will miss her sweet
smile, her Irish Celtic music and her amusing lyrics in her folk music.
